Here’s what you need to have to join the Affiliate Program:
- You need to have 50 followers at least over the previous 30 days.
- You need to have streamed for 7 separate days over the previous 30 days.
- You need to have broadcasted 8 hours total over the previous 30 days.
- On average, you need to have a minimum of 3 concurrent viewers over the previous 30 days.
In comparison, if you want to become a Partner, you will have to stream on 12 separate days for at least 25 hours, and have 75 minimum concurrent viewers.
All this needs to be done over 30 days. So the criteria are greater. As such, becoming a part of the Affiliate program is the first step in becoming a Twitch Partner.
What Is The Waiting Period For The Affiliate Program Invite?
Once you meet twitch affiliate requirements, you can expect an invite from Twitch within two weeks. Note that this period is crucial and you should make sure that you keep creating broadcasts and give your channel content.
Also, do know that if your account has been inactive for the last 12 months or a year, and also if you failed to earn a minimum of $100 at the very least during this time, then Twitch can revoke the affiliate status.
