The advertisement cost differs according to their duration and the popularity of the channel.

How To Report Ads On YouTube

Several kinds of Ads appear on YouTube.

  • Bumpers ads are of six seconds, non-skippable video ads that play right before a video. These ads are great for spreading awareness efforts, promoting an event, or driving brand reach and frequency.
  • Skippable Ads: These ads have to be watched for a minimum of 5 seconds, after which you can choose to watch or skip them. These ads are charged only if the viewer watches the promotion for more than half a minute or if they click on it.
  • Non-skippable ads: These ads are played before or during a video with no skip button and hence must watch the entire ad. The non-skippable ad works when the brand conveys a message or awareness and also can hold the interest of the viewers. These ads are charged per 1000 views.
  • Banner Ads are overlay ads. They appear as rectangular banners on the bottom 20% of the video. They can be either text or video and are displayed during the video. More subscribers would mean more revenue from ads. You may buy views for your channel.
  • Midroll ads are spaced within the video, something similar to a TV ad. They are currently available for videos over 15 minutes and viewers must watch the ads before they can continue to view the rest of the YouTube video.
