A woman who runs gaming content or even plays herself and is interested in comics doesn’t sound common for now. When she also publicly addresses topics that are otherwise considered taboo, this woman can be very polarizing. The channel “Anni The Duck” could more than well profit from exactly these clichés and use them for their increase in popularity. Within the time the channel “Anni The Duck” managed to increase her fame more than, despite that only the fewest might know more about her personality.

The real name of the protagonist of the channel “Anni The Duck” is Anissa Baddour. This one was born in any case before the year 2000, but more details are not known. Keeping her age “secret” was a conscious decision on Anissa’s part, as she was very often reduced to her age in the past. Anissa decided on the channel name “Anni The Duck” because she says she likes ducks a lot and finds them very interesting. Anissa herself is German but with non-German roots. Her mother is Italian and her father Moroccan. Despite this, Anissa was born and raised in Mönchengladbach and is therefore German. In the meantime, however, she has been living in Aachen for several years.

Generally speaking, “Anni The Duck” is a German-speaking YouTuber and livestreamer. She publishes her livestreams mainly on the streaming platform Twitch. On her main channel on YouTube, Anissa mainly publishes vlogs, parodies on various topics and quite a few different themed videos. She does not shy away from addressing taboo topics and making them the subject of her videos. For this attitude, she is greatly admired and also praised by her viewers as well as her colleagues and friends.

Furthermore she runs a second channel, which is called “Anni the Duck”. New videos appear daily on this site. The contents of these mostly refer to the genre of gaming or represent so-called cosplay videos, in which she dresses up as various, mostly comic characters.

At the beginning of her career, Anissa only published livestreams on the platform Twitch. Through her colleague and good friend “Julien Bam” she got to know YouTube for herself. “Julien Bam” was ultimately the one who persuaded Anissa to start her own YouTube channel. Anissa then founded her main channel “Anni The Duck” on December 22, 2017. Her first video on it appeared the same day and was titled: “Hello I’m new here, please be nice”, and only served to introduce herself and gave a little preview about the upcoming content. Through the contact with “Julien Bam” and several others, Anissa managed to win over a larger number of viewers relatively quickly. Anissa didn’t start her second channel, “Anni The Duck” until 2019. Also through “Julien Bam” it was possible for Anissa to quickly make contact with other well-known stars of the German YouTube scene and thus also increase her own fame.

On her main channel “Anni The Duck” new videos appear weekly these days. However, Anissa has no fixed upload times for these, which is why the videos often appear irregularly and at different intervals throughout the week. With her videos and her own style, Anissa has managed to win over 619,000 subscribers on her main channel alone, who follow her videos with excitement and joy.
