Andre, Jan and Cengiz. Three guys better known as “the Apes” or as their channel is called “ApeCrime”. It’s hard to imagine the comedy and entertainment scene in Germany without the three guys and their channel. But how did the three guys become famous and what are they doing today ?

The three guys increased their popularity mainly through the channel “Ponk”. This included a channel which put a whole WG in the center of its storyline.

In their youth, the three lived in Stadthagen, where their YouTube story began. In 2011 they released their first video on the channel “ApeCrime”. At that time they were mainly so-called song parodies of various successful songs. In the same year the three boys moved to Hamburg because of their studies. However, all three dropped out of their studies in 2012 and moved to Cologne to the Ponk WG. From this point on, at the latest, their success story began. Due to the already high level of awareness of the channel “Ponk”, Andre, Jan and Cengiz could also profit from this success. They quickly and skillfully also knew how to give their own channel a certain degree of notoriety and success. After all, the three boys moved into their own apartment back in late 2013. Today, however, the three are much more grown up and mature, which is also reflected in their videos. Andre is already 27 years old, Jan already 28 years old and Cengiz also already 28 years old. The three boys’ real names are Andre Schiebler, Jan Meyer and Cengiz Dogrul.

After the three boys moved into their own apartment, they started to get more and more involved with music. Because of their ‘own singles and albums many know the three of them also as musicians. In 2013 they released their first single with the title: “Ich trau mich nicht”. They presented this song for the first time at the Videodays in Cologne and found even more appeal with their fans. Since then the guys of “ApeCrime” can’t separate themselves from music. Although their main business is still YouTube, on which platform they already actively operate several channels, the three of them are not completely without music. Since 2013 and their first single, they released 14 more music videos and even two albums among them until 2017. Their first album was called “Affenbande” at that time. Their second already shows more maturity and is called “Exit” when it is released in 2017. Through their music, the guys were able to gain much more notoriety and thus they already received two times the 1Live Krone for their music in 2013 and 2014 and the Bravo Otto in gold in 2015.

Today the three guys of the channel “ApeCrime” are still together in a shared flat, but besides their channel “ApeCrime” they run other channels like “ApecrimeTV” or even their own personal channels. But no matter which channel they release their videos on, they have always stayed true to their genre of entertainment videos. In 2018, a paid cooperation with the company “Booster” followed, for which the three of them organized several advertisements and competitions on their channels.

The three guys who founded a YouTube channel in Stadthagen on a whim have now become three successful businessmen who know exactly how to market themselves.
