After the end of the channel “ApeCrime” and the associated separation of the trio, all three protagonists went their own ways. So Cengiz founded his own channel quite early during his time at “ApeCrime” to be able to publish his own and especially other content. Today, with his channel “cengo”, he is clearly one of the best known channels in Germany. Nevertheless, only a few may know the beginnings of the channel.

Cengo’s real name is Cengiz Dogrul and he was born on 11 May 1990. So Cengiz is already 30 years old. Meanwhile Cengiz lives together with his colleague Jan from the channel “OHMEYGOD” in a shared flat in the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Cologne.

Cengiz has been active on his own channel “cengo” for quite some time. Still during the “ApeCrime” time he founded this to be able to publish own and above all freer contents which would not fit on the channel “ApeCrime” purely contentwise. However, it should also be mentioned that Cengiz’s focus has only been on his own channel “cengo” since the end of “ApeCrime”. On this channel, he is able to express his content more freely and without constraint.

Cengiz founded the channel “cengo” back on March 20, 2014. However, the first video was released on May 03, 2014 and was titled: ” “PLEASE PISS YOU!” – SLENDER #1 – cengo”. This video, as the title suggests, was a Let’Plays of the horror game “Slender”. Since this video Cengiz publishes on the channel “cengo” relatively regularly own videos which did not fit on the channel “ApeCrime”. These videos were wide-ranging in terms of content. What Cengiz felt like and what he has fun with, he publishes on the channel “cengo”. He was also able to raise the profile of the channel very quickly. After just under a year, the “cengo” channel cracked the 100,000 subscriber mark.

In the beginning Cengiz published on the channel “cengo” mainly Let’s Plays as well as some Real Life content. Among these real life videos were also challenges or similar content. However, Cengiz put his focus on reaction videos pretty quickly. He produced these mostly in the form of livestreams and published some excerpts from them on his channel. However, he then also quite quickly founded his own channel “cengo reacts” for these reaction videos.

Nowadays, colorful content appears on the channel “cengo”. Among them, however, you will find a lot of real life videos. These are then often partly vlogs, challenges or even some reaction videos. With his channel “cengo”, Cengiz has meanwhile managed to win over well over 439,000 subscribers and entertain them regularly.
