On television, the satirical magazine “extra 3″ is always broadcast on Wednesdays. extra 3” was broadcast on TV for the first time in 1976 and quickly found favour with viewers. Christian Ehring will be the moderator of the satire magazine. The idea for the satire magazine “extra 3”, however, came from Dieter Kronzucker and the then NDR editor-in-chief Peter Merseburg. Together they finally launched the magazine “extra 3” on the TV station “NDR”. Within the show, various political and also social topics are subjected to a satirical reappraisal and thus examined, questioned and conveyed to the viewers. However, as numerous viewers wanted a time-independent version of the show over time, the “extra 3” channel was founded on the web video platform YouTube.

The YouTube channel, which is also called “extra 3,” was founded on April 14, 2014. The first video on it also appeared on 14 April 2014 and was entitled: “extra 3 Classix: Der Autonomen-Supermarkt | extra 3 | NDR”. On the channel you can still find mainly excerpts and highlights from the 30 to 40 minute TV shows of the NDR.

However, “extra 3” is now represented on the Internet with its videos and contributions not only on YouTube. The satirical magazine also distributes its videos and content on the Internet on the social media platform Facebook.

In the meantime, several new videos appear weekly on the YouTube channel “extra 3”. Sometimes it also happens that several new videos are published per day on the channel “extra 3”. With the content and videos on the channel, “extra 3” has meanwhile managed to gain well over 736,000 subscribers on YouTube alone.
