The boy from Lübeck, who rides through Germany on a longboard, runs his own business, operates two YouTube channels and also participates in motorsport events. We are talking, of course, about Felix von der Laden. Equal to his current channel name is also his civil name, Felix von der Laden. He is 24 years old and remarkably successful for his age. Besides the more than 3,200,000 people he entertains with new videos almost every day, he is now the head of his own company. This is called “25Mate” and is a German marketing company for German influencers based in Cologne. Under contract with 25Mate are several well-known influencers such as Felix himself or Stephan Gerick or Oskar. The company supports all contracted influencers who can benefit from the cooperation with Samsung or Telekom, for example. As the head of such a company, one might assume there is no time for other activities. But Felix manages this masterfully on a daily basis. But what did Felix do before and how did he develop on his way?

He started in 2011 and released his first video on July 23. At that time, his channel was still called “Dner” for fun, which was supposed to be an abbreviation of Döner. His first video was titled “[TuT] More FPS in Minecraft through Mod Optifine” and presented a tutorial of the game Minecraft. In the further course the channel developed to a pure Lets Play channel. The main content was Lets Plays of the game Minecraft. After he successfully graduated from high school in 2013, he moved to Cologne for study reasons. There he lived together with his colleague Ungespielt in a house and it developed a kind of WG with different apartments. Furthermore he also planned the first Videodays in Cologne at that time. However, after some time he had to cancel his studies in media business, because his channel cost so much work in the meantime that this could not be reconciled with his studies. In the further course he also published further Lets Plays of numerous games.

In 2014 he decided to travel across Germany with his colleagues Ungespielt, Julien Bam and Cheng Loew on a longboard. The journey began on the island of Sylt and ended at the southernmost point of Germany, Neuschwanstein Castle. Their quite brave journey lasted over a month and they documented it daily in video form on their channels. With this trip, all participants achieved a great deal of public attention. The program “SternTV” documented the journey of the four boys in the process.

However, in 2016, he then decided to restructure his channel. He opened another channel called Dner on which he wanted to publish all gaming videos in the future. He renamed his main channel Felix von der Laden, referring only to cinematic content such as vlogs. An important feature for him was always the very high quality of his videos. In the following he increased this more and more. He has now been active in motorsport since 2017 and now races in the GT4 European Cup.

In the meantime he shared an office called UFO with some colleagues which they gave up after some time for different reasons. In 2018 after moving out of UFO, he also decided to manage his merchandising “SpielKind” on his own from now on. In order to get 25Mate, Spielkind and YouTube under one roof, he rented a multi-storey house in Cologne which serves as his headquarters. However, in early 2019, he and his team had to make another decision to move. He moved from the “Hive”, which proved to be unsuitable for space reasons, to his new office, warehouse and headquarters of “25Mate” called “Base” Furthermore, he is no longer alone on YouTube. He gets help from a different person every year to produce and process his videos.
With his very high quality videos, he is one of the best YouTubers in the German-speaking world and visibly defends this place with daily content on all his channels.
