One of these shows was the video game format “Game One” which dealt with the latest video game classics and presented them. In 2014 then the shock for all viewers and fans, the series was discontinued. However, the web video platform YouTube is now making it possible to revive this series in a new edition on the channel “Game Two”. Nevertheless, probably only a few viewers know who actually belongs to the channel “Game Two”, where it comes from and how it got its start on the web video platform YouTube.
Generally speaking, “Game Two” is a German web series and YouTube channel that deals with video and computer games. Since 2016, this channel has been produced on behalf of “funk”. Furthermore, the channel and the web series produced and published on it are considered to be the successor of the show “Game One” that runs on TV.
The channel “Game Two” and its web series of the same name were founded on November 16, 2016. The first video on it appeared already one day later at the November 17, 2016 and was titled: “Game Two | Trailer”. This first video represented a preview of what was to come on the channel, and made the hearts of former “Game One” fans beat faster.
Just as in the series “Game One”, which was broadcast on TV at the time, the content of the “Game Two” channel is all about computer and video games. The rehashing and design of the videos also gives fans a strong sense of nostalgia, as they are also very similar to “Game One” back in the day. The reports on the channel “Game Two” include numerous video games and their new releases in detail.
The web series will be hosted by Simon Krätschmar, Daniel Budimann, Nils Bomhoff and Etienne Gardé, who were also part of the “Game One” cast at the time. On “Game Two,” however, the moderation team will continue to be joined by Lara Trautmann and Sofia Kats.
The studio in which “Game Two” is filmed belongs to the own production company “Rocket Beans Entertainemnt GmbH” and thus facilitates the production significantly.
As you can see from the channel banner, new episodes of the series of the same name appear on the channel “Game Two” every Saturday from 12 o’clock. However, a closer look at the channel also reveals that videos are posted on it on other days as well. Thus, several new videos appear weekly on the channel “Game Two”. With their videos and the already long lasting concept from already “Game One” the channel “Game Two” managed to win meanwhile far over 429,000 subscribers for itself.
