If you look around on YouTube in the section “Film” and “Film reviews” or similar, you will directly be suggested a number of channels and a number of videos. At the forefront are channels that only publish the trailers of individual films and place their main focus on them. This is completely different with the channel “Jay & Arya”. The two guys of the channel are with their videos also in the genre of the film put their main focus but clearly on something different which makes them unique and they stand out from the crowd. But the career did not start with these videos at all.

The channel “Jay & Arya” forms a German YouTubeduo and is also known as “Leegendarya Films”. But where does this name come from?

The two protagonists’ real names are Jay Samuelz and Arya Lee. Since Arya is the actual founder of the channel, then called “Leegendarya Films”, it becomes clear that this name was a derivative of his civil name. On this channel, Arya mainly published dance videos at that time and turned to film as time went on. Only later Jay joined them and together they formed a duo.

Jay Samuelz is American and German and Arya is of Iranian descent. Furthermore Jay likes very American Hip Hop which is why he is very good at rapping very fast, also called double- or even tripletime, in English.

The channel was then founded by Arya on September 24, 2011. The first video on it was released on October 04, 2011 and was titled: “GIGA Gathering 2011 Sampler [HD]” and featured a dance video that was recorded by him.

Since Jay joined the channel and they also changed their channel name, the channel’s main focus has been on film. For example, a weekly format called “Film Geek” is now being published. This format covers a wide variety of topics related to film. So topics like movie mistakes, movie theories, movie facts and much more are the order of the day in this format.

Furthermore, Serviceh also run another channel called “Jay & Arya – Podcast” on which Serviceh publish regular podcasts in video form. However, they do not limit themselves to one particular topic but deal with a wide variety of topics episode by episode.

On their channel “Jay & Arya”, the two also publish self-produced short films at regular intervals, in which they are usually also the protagonists.

In addition to the Film Geeks format, other videos also appear on the channel, so there are several new videos every week. With this concept, the channel has already managed to win over 1.84 million subscribers, who follow their videos regularly.
