In the German YouTube scene there are more and more creators who make their content even more interesting and exciting through acting performances. The YouTuber and actress “Joyce” is already more than known. Be it from television, movies or even YouTube. However, few know more about the person behind the channel “Joyce” or even how the channel took its course.

The real name of the operator and main protagonist of the channel “Joyce” is Joyce Claudia Ilg. She was born on 12 October 1983 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. Thus, “Joyce” is already 36 years old and is therefore one of the veterans of the German YouTube landscape.

In general, “Joyce” is a German actress, presenter, voice actress as well as web video producer. All that knowledge and their skills don’t come from anywhere, though. She studied photo engineering from 2004 to 2010. At the same time she took acting lessons from 2005 to 2006. Furthermore she took part in different television productions in the meantime. In 2005, for example, she had her first role in the series “Unter Uns” (Among Us), which was broadcast on the television station RTL. In the further course of her acting career, she took on several roles in the series “Alles was zählt”, “Der Lehrer” and the action series “Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei”.

Joyce” did not start her career on YouTube on her own channel. She gained a very considerable degree of notoriety through the channel “Ponk”. This was to represent a kind of residential community and its constantly changing residents. Now that she already knew a few people, Joyce Ilg decided to start her own channel. So she created the channel “Joyce” on 04 May 2013. Her first video on it appeared already one day later, on 06 May 2013, and was titled: ” Thanks guys! – Joyce Ilg from Ponk”. This video was a kind of thank you video to the already existing viewers and should give a preview of the upcoming content.

Since that day, mainly sketches and other comedy videos appear on the channel “Joyce. Nevertheless, it is clear to mention that the YouTube channel is not her main activity. Mainly “Joyce” earns her money through her acting.

Am 066. Febraur 2014 she then founded a joint channel with “Julez” and “Luke Mockridge”. This was called “Snoozzze” and represented another comedy channel. However, this channel was discontinued barely two years later, on 09 May 2016. Since then, no new content has appeared on this channel.

Nowadays, new videos appear weekly on the channel “Joyce”. Mostly the videos are to appear thereby on Saturdays at 12 o’clock and are most always entertainment videos. With this content and her rising profile, she has already collected over 1.2 million subscribers on the channel “Joyce”.
