The gaming scene around the world and especially in Germany is a highly competitive field. Whoever starts to produce videos in this genre nowadays has a very hard time to become successful or famous. The next “problem”, however, is still not to get lost in the very large mass and the resulting very large offer, but to stand out from the crowd. Despite this, there are still channels which manage exactly this balancing act and still belong to the very big ones and can convince and stand out through their peculiarity.

This is exactly what the channel “Maxim” has been doing for many years. The protagonist of the channel’s real name is Maxim Markov. As his last name suggests, he has Russian roots due to his parents’ ancestry. However, he himself grew up in Germany and also lives in Germany today, more precisely in the federal state of Saxony. An exact date of birth of today’s “Internet star” and thus his exact age is not yet publicly known.

Generally speaking, “Maxim” is a German LCS -commentator at Summoner’s Inn and German YouTuber. So it is clear that he managed to expand his YouTube career as well as his professional career. LCS is an Esport League of Legends league where “Maxim” is already a commentator due to his career and skills.

His channel “Maxim” he founded April 18, 2012. At that time, however, his channel was still called “Letsreadsmallbooks” which led back to his first videos. The first video on it was released just a few days later on April 26, 2012 and was titled: “Let’s read The Wonderful Journey of Nils Holgerson with the Wild Geese [Part 001]. In the further course three more episodes of this video series appeared. After that, he ended that format and thus the content on his channel. From then on, until today, he mainly released videos around the game “League of Legends”, in which he could develop into a kind of professional over time. Furthermore, he also decided over time to change his channel name from “Letsreadsmallbooks” to “Maxim” as the “old” channel name no longer matched the formats shown on the channel. With the content of the game “League of Legends” newly shown on the channel, the channel “Maxim” managed to quite quickly increase its popularity enormously. This was probably mainly due to the fact that there was little German-language competition in the field at the time and demand was still quite high.

If you take a look at the channel today, you can see only a few, but then very small changes, apart from its number of subscribers. He still publishes mainly videos of the game “League of Legends” on his channel “Maxim”. From time to time he also publishes videos of other games, which however also stand out from the masses, because then they are usually not shown very often and therefore games that have little to no competition. Every day new and always interesting videos appear on the channel “Maxim” for the viewers and his channel concept seems to work out very well, because in the meantime the channel “Maxim” counts far more than 620,000 subscribers and it becomes constantly more.
