Nowadays this website still exists and focuses mainly on the rating of movies and series. Over time, “Moviepilot” developed so strongly that they are now also represented on YouTube and Facebook. The channel on YouTube was founded very early on September 05, 2007. Also the first video on the channel “Moviepilot” was published on September 05, 2007 and was titled: “Fabian Busch (Video Kings) Filmcheck”. The first videos on this channel, which were published as a result, were all based on the scheme of the first video. New releases in the film world were examined, evaluated and in some cases also criticised.
The company behind the channel belongs to the “Webedia GmbH” which has its headquarters in the German capital Berlin. In 2014, “Webedia” acquired “Moviepilot” from “jetfilm GmbH” for €15 million. Over time, Serviceh the YouTube channel and the website put their focus on series in addition to movies.
The main host of the YouTube channel since 2017 is Yves Arievich. In addition to the YouTube channel and the website, “Moviepilot” is also represented on the social media channels Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
