The next difficulty, once you are known, is to stay on the surface because of your content and not get lost in the crowd. This requires some creativity and your own trademarks. A channel that managed to do this is the channel “Malwanne” which in recent years could gain significant notoriety. Still, most viewers don’t know exactly who or what is behind the channel or how it found its beginnings.
The real name of the protagonist of the channel “Malwanne” is Vanessa Maria Gierszewski. Maria was born on 09 September 1993 in Hamburg and is therefore already 27 years old. Maria herself has been living in Berlin for several years now and has moved there several times.
In very general terms, “Malwanne” is a German YouTuber, web video producer and influencer. Furthermore, it is generally considered a comedy and entertainment channel. However, she does not release conventional comedy videos but packs the wit and charm through her very own way in her videos with changing content. Among them, for example, she also publishes some kind of tutorials as well as vlogs.
Maria founded her channel “Malwanne” back on January 24, 2014. The first video, as of today, was not released until February 21, 2014 and was titled: “PAINTING WITH WANNE- The Persian Cat”. The videos on the channel “Malwanne” have been very creatively designed since the beginning and have their very own humor and way. In the beginning Maria published videos on her channel “Malwanne” which could be classified in the genre of beauty videos. However, she always tries to make her videos individual to stand out from the crowd. For example, the beauty videos were only test videos of various and sometimes bizarre products to which she then revealed her opinion.
Over time, she was able to significantly increase her fame and gained contact with several other YouTubers. In the end, this also led to an increase in their own awareness.
One format of hers that was extremely polarizing, and still is, is her cooking and baking format. This one is called “How does…” and she usually tests food from various familiar movies or series. Unless she can buy this food ready-made, she cooks or bakes these dishes to the best of her ability. A similar format of hers is called “I test…” and is also geared towards her testing a wide variety of products and or food in the videos. As part of this format, she also tests different advent calendars in December and unwraps them in the videos as well.
Every week several new videos appear on the channel “Malwanne”, which is followed by her already well over 827,000 subscribers with great enthusiasm. However, their popularity continues to rise steadily and thus the trend of their subscriber base is clearly on the rise.
