The often very own but still very funny videos of the web video producer “Sturmwaffel” are known all over Germany. At the same time he always remains very child-friendly and tries not to offend anyone. However, who exactly is behind the channel “Sturmwaffel” and how his career in social media has taken its course know only a few.

The real name of the protagonist of the channel “Sturmwaffel” is Frederic, but his last name is unknown. However, his friends and colleagues call him Freddie or even jokingly “Smurf” which has its origin in his gaming videos. Sturmwaffel” was born on 07 January 1992 in Friedrichshafen in Baden-Württemberg and is therefore already 27 years old.

He is primarily a German web video producer. He had already founded his channel on April 11, 2013. At that time, he primarily published Lets Plays of the game Minecraft and other so-called indigames. However, he published his first video three months after the channel was founded. So he uploaded his first video on 07 July 2013 which was titled: “Sturmwaffel”. This represented a channel trailer, so to speak, and gave potential new viewers a preview of what content to expect on the channel.

During the first three years of his YouTube career, he was already able to attract a considerable number of viewers to his channel and also made some contacts in the scene. He produced and edited his videos from home, which often made it difficult to separate his professional and private life. Therefore, in 2016 he decided to join his friends and colleagues Felix von der Laden, Izzi, Paluten and Rewinside in the office called “UFO”. The abbreviation “UFO” stood for the name of our fat office. From now on it was possible for “Sturmwaffel” to strictly separate professional and private life. When the “UFO” dissolved in 2018, he moved to a new office which is also located in Cologne. Since moving to the new office, he has been publishing more and more content on cooking and baking. He incorporates several other YouTubers into these videos and often recreates recipes from other videos or from other colleagues.

Before his YouTube career he studied media science and lives and works in the city of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia. He is also the managing director of an asset management company together with his brother Dennis, who is a pilot by profession and has already appeared several times in his videos. So you can definitely say that “Sturmwaffel” has built up another mainstay for survival, even far away from his web video career.

But also on other channels on YouTube “Sturmwaffel” was or is a fixed part. So r hosted from 2016 to 2019 together with “kelly” the web series “Guten Morgen Internet” (GMI), which was produced by the public – legal youth service of Funk.

Then in 2017, the now 27-year-old took on a voice acting role in the web series “Antarctica.” He voiced the role of Dorian Kant in the series.
