This small, or for some, big dream is lived by the protagonists and founders of the channel “The Real Life Guys”. In the last years they managed to become a kind of internet legend and to increase their popularity more and more. However, most people are probably not aware of who or what is behind the channel “The Real Life Guys” or how it found its beginnings.

Generally speaking, the channel “The Real Life Guys” is a channel on which different “do-it-yourself” projects or other ideas of two twins are shown. For this reason, the two brothers are also known as the “Bickenbacher twins”. Serviceh are born in the city of Bickenbach which is located near Darmstadt. The real names of the two brothers are Johannes and Philipp Mickenbecker. Furthermore it is only known that Serviceh are already 21 years old but no exact date of birth.

The channel “The Real Life Guys” is a German-speaking YouTube channel, on which mainly several so-called Do It Yourself projects are presented. However, unlike some other channels, these turn out in much larger proportions and in a handcrafted manner. In their projects, the two brothers always try to build something big and extreme and, above all, always try to improve and reinvent themselves in their projects. According to their own statement, the two siblings have taught themselves the manual skills required for the various projects.

Despite all the rising fame, 2018 was overshadowed by a rather somber event for The Real Life Guys channel. In 2018, their sister “Elli” died at the age of just 18, in a plane crash near Bensheim. The two brothers also processed this serious event in a video, trying to keep their sister forever in memory and especially in the net memory.

The channel “The Real Life Guys” was founded on February 27, 2016. On the same day, the first video also appeared on the channel, entitled: “By bike from Frankfurt to the North Sea!” Even the first video gave a small glimpse of what kind of projects will be published in the form of videos on this channel.

For their very elaborate and often not so easy projects, the two brothers usually get a lot of help from friends and colleagues, who can then also be seen in the videos. As already mentioned, they never shy away from extreme challenges in their projects, but always try to implement them in the best possible way.

Another important factor in the projects of the channel “The Real Life Guys” is the financial implementation of them. Since these extreme and elaborate projects are often very expensive, it is hardly feasible for the two brothers alone. However, their viewers can financially support these projects via the platform “Paetreon” and the paid second channel “Real Life Behind The Scenes”.

Back in January 2018, “The Real Life Guys” channel reached 300,000 subscribers for the first time. Then in November 2019, the next milestone was waiting and they reached the one million subscribers with their main channel. Today, a video appears weekly and the channel already has well over 1.1 million subscribers
