In the German YouTube scene it happens every now and then that non-German channels become famous in Germany and experience a big hype. However, in most cases, these channels did not last long on the German market and thus disappeared again within a very short time and the hype around them died down. This is quite different with the channel “Veni”. He became famous a few years ago through his gaming videos and also became known in the German YouTube scene and has been able to hold his own and establish himself until today. Still, few will be aware of who is actually behind the channel or how it got started before its hype.

The real name of the protagonist of the channel “Veni” is Rafael Eisler. Rafael was born on 23 January 1997 and is therefore just 23 years old. Since 2016, Rafael has been living in his own apartment in the Austrian city of Vienna.

The name of his channel is made up of the Kingdom Hearts characters “Ventus” and “Vanitas” according to some indication from Rafael.

In very general terms, “Veni” is an Austrian YouTuber and livestreamer. When Rafael founded his channel it was still called “VeniCraft”. At the time, his focus was clearly, as the name suggests, on the RPG sandbox game Minecraft. Rafael founded his channel back on November 28, 2011 when he was just 16 years old. At that time he was still very young and inexperienced, which should not prevent him from increasing his fame quickly and enormously. His first video on the channel “VeniCraft” appeared on 02 December 2011 and was titled: “[Minecraft] Skyblock: Ep. 01 [Full-HD/Aut]”. In the early days of his channel, Rafael published almost exclusively Let’s Plays of the game Minecraft. However, as time went on, he decided to showcase other game on his channel in the form of videos. These games then all lined up together in the category of indie games.

However, it’s important to note that the channel “Veni” has gained the most notoriety for its Let’Plays and livestreams of the game Minecraft.

Then, in the spring of 2019, Rafael also launched his secondary channel, “VeniVidiVici.” This channel was created back on July 24, 2014, however Rafael did not use it until early 2019. On his second channel, Rafael publishes new videos with a wide variety of content on a daily basis and has already acquired 57,000 subscribers with this channel. At the same time that he started actively operating the secondary channel, he also changed the channel name of the main channel to “Veni”.

On the main channel “Veni” he recently announced that from now on there will be some changes. In the future there will be less videos on the main channel and this channel will be more about the person “Veni”. He announced these changes in a video relatively early in 2020. On the main channel, he has now managed to attract well over 442,000 subscribers. What awaits the channel’s viewers there from now on remains to be seen.
