Most likely, this has already happened to one or the other once or even several times. You’re boredly swiping through your YouTube or even Facebook timeline and you’re presented with videos of so-called “useless knowledge”. Often it is about banal topics, which information and topics do not really bring one further, they are however nevertheless nice to know. With this useless knowledge one can then establish oneself know-it-all with one’s friends and brag about this newly gained knowledge. This is exactly what the channel “Wissenswert” (worth knowing), which most people already know, has done. On Facebook, I’m sure just about everyone has stumbled across one of these videos from the “Worth Knowing” channel at least once. Meanwhile, this channel has also been able to acquire a relatively large range, and yet most viewers are not aware of the background of this.

The YouTube channel “Wissenswert” is a German-language channel, which moves in the genre of the so-called “infotainment”. The videos published on the “Wissenswert” channel are arranged in the knowledge, entertainment and current affairs sections.
The videos of the channel often contain facts which are visualized and commented from the “off”.

Little is known about those responsible for the channel. However, the two “off-voices” always introduce themselves as Felix and Simon. If you now take a look at the imprint of the channel, you will see that it belongs to the company “Difabachew & Härlen GbR”. Its two partners are Simon Difabachew and Felix Härlen. So it stands to reason that the two shareholders of the GbR are the same people from the videos of the channel “Wissenswert”.

Founded the channel “Worth knowing” was founded on August 22, 2016. However, as of today, the first video on this channel was released on January 02, 2017 and is titled: “The 10 Crackiest Long Distance Shooters of All Time”. However, this was not the very first video on the “Worth Knowing” channel. In fact, a video was released back in early 2017 and was titled: “This is all going to happen in 2017 – At its most blatant” and gave a preview of the upcoming content in 2017. However, this video is deleted today from the channel “worth knowing”.

When the channel “Worth Knowing” reached the 100,000 subscribers, the operators of the channel released a song, which expressed gratitude to each and every viewer.

Beside some interesting videos and contents in many videos however above all useless knowledge is spread. For this reason, the channel is not really taken seriously by many people and labeled as a so-called “trash channel”.

Since the channel’s inception, five videos are said to be released weekly, providing viewers with new content almost daily. The two founders of the channel also adhere to this concept and follow through consistently. This consistency has also enabled the channel to achieve a high reach in the meantime. As of today, the channel already has well over 672,000 subscribers and several thousand likes on their social media channels.
