However, after that, it is also very important to maintain that notoriety in the long run. He grew up near Karlsruhe, went to school there and studied in Karlsruhe.

The 22 year old founded his own channel “mathisox” on 03 November 2015. The first video on this channel appeared on the same day and was titled: “These are not box cars! | E-Kart fahren in Sensadrom” and was a short video of one of his experiences, a kind of vlog.

Because of his very high level of craft skills, he decided early on to incorporate them into the videos on his channel. So he very quickly published videos of his small and also somewhat larger projects.

In the beginning, like almost all other channels, he experienced how difficult it can be to increase his own popularity. His first major rise to fame came mainly through the channel and the eponymous format “Kliemansland”. He was initially only seen in a few videos there. After only a short time, however, he was already actively involved and was able to raise his own profile.

His most successful project to date was entitled: “Von der Schrottkarre Camper” and ensured that he was able to continue to increase his fame. About this project, the now just 22 year old also wrote his first own book which bears the title: “My Bulli project: A junk car, a lot of work and a great adventure”. This book also sold relatively successfully.

As his channel progressed, he continued to collaborate with other YouTubers. For example, he built a tool in his videos, for a project by ” Fritz Meinecke”. This also helped his own notoriety a lot.

If you look at the channel “mathisox” today, you will notice that at least one new video of different projects appears on this channel every week. With this type of video, Mathis has now managed to attract well over 425,000 subscribers.
