Despite the very large degree of popularity, it is still not clear to everyone who or what is actually behind the channel “Joey’s Jungle” and how this took its course.
The real name of the protagonist of the channel is “Joey’s Jungle” Josef, although the last name of him is unknown. He was born on March 22, 1995, making him just 24 years old. He founded his channel at a fairly young age and thus laid the foundation for his current career.
On 07 September 2008 Josef, who was 13 years old at the time, founded his channel with the name “Joey’s Jungle”. However, the first video on this channel was some time coming. As of today, he didn’t release his first video until May 28, 2013. By this time young Joseph was already 14 years old. This video was titled: “Jingaringding – One Leg Song (OFFICIAL HD VIDEO)”. However, it should be noted here that this was not his very first video on the web video platform YouTube. In the early days of his channel he is said to have published mainly skateboard tutorials which are no longer available today. He eventually decided to change his channel and henceforth post challenges or other entertainment videos on his channel.
In his childhood and youth Josef grew up in the countryside of Thuringia. This is also the origin of his great affinity for animals, which he still lives out today. Today he lives in Berlin and still owns several animals. Among them are horses, chickens, a cat, a rabbit and a dog.
Furthermore, “Joey’s Jungle” did not grow up alone. He has a sister who is now 16 years old and named Emely. She also often appears in one or the other video of her older brother.

Nowadays he mainly releases videos in the comedy, entertainment and lifestyle genres. His videos are always child-friendly, which is probably due to his very young target group. This very young target group is thus clearly reflected in his videos. In the meantime, the 24-year-old has been able to collect over 1.5 million subscribers on his channel “Joey’s Jungle”, which he keeps happy with his regular content and videos.
